Partner at HCR, Visiting Professor of Law at Queen Mary University of London, pioneered the legal framework around cyber and advised the UK Government (Law Commission) on the drafting of information protection legislation.

Widely published, works include Cybersecurity Law and Practice Editions 1 and 2 (the first book to set out a legal framework for Cyber) Managing Cybersecurity Risk (Editions 2 and 3) and Blockchain and Cryptocurrency International Regulation and Challenges.

Dan assists clients in relation to the police, Crown Prosecution Service, Financial Conduct Authority, Information Commissioner’s Office and a range of regulators.
